Remembering Black Wall Street

America Happens to be a place where history can be forgotten. Where the atrocities of the past are swept under the rug, never to mentioned again. 95 years ago today, one of the most horrifying acts of terrorism was committed in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Nearly a century after the fact, this remains a taboo topic – a discussion that shouldn’t be had. If America is the land of the free, then we must accept the black marks of our past, and make reparations for them. Today we remember the Tulsa Race Riot, and the thousands of black American’s who lost their homes, their livelihoods, and to the hundreds that lost their lives.
